Oedipus

The once bright sun is now a faded memory
The void beyond our planet
Now lives in forever in my sight
But oh how much sweeter the flowers smell
The silks of my robe caress my hands
I savour the taste of my wine
The song of the birds is unto my ears
As honey is to the bees
The colors of the earth have died in my life
There will be no more rainbows to cross my path
None of nature’s beauty will be held in my eyes
